In the whirlwind of personal accusations that surround a public official's fall from grace, it's easy to forget that the casualties can include the hopes and dreams of an entire community.
Philip Bacon doesn't forget. In fact, he's been reminded over and over again.
Bacon is vice president for community and regional development at The Collins Center for Public Policy, one of many nonprofit organizations working to revitalize Overtown.
Over the years, he has seen turmoil in political leadership repeatedly disrupt efforts to revive the Overtown community.
